WE DID IT!

I am thrilled to be writing this story to share some very special news about our facility.

The second week of October 2009, Harmony House underwent its annual unannounced Quality Indicator Survey. This is the first year for all Nursing Homes to be evaluated under the new Federal System. The four State Surveyors entered the building, each with a pre-loaded laptop computer containing all of their assigned tasks and questions so each were able to assess all aspects of the facility's operations, making sure we were in compliance with State and Federal regulations.

The Surveyors spent several days looking at medical records, observing, and speaking with staff, residents, and family members. When the process was complete, the Survey Team Leader said, "We are proud to announce Harmony House has received a Deficiency Free Survey." Toni and I are so very proud of our team and the quality job they do for our residents and their families. To celebrate our unbelievable survey we enjoyed a fantastic party with loads of food and some crazy awards too.

We just cannot say thank you enough to our Harmony House Team. We find it truly amazing what can be done when you do it as a Team.
